The Wrong Confession

Just as the Ephraimites in Judges 12 were judged by the words of their mouths—whether they said “Shibboleth” or “Sibboleth”—so too our confession matters before God. A wrong confession leads to destruction, while a true confession of Christ leads to life.

The sermon warns that many today fail the spiritual test by clinging to political, cultural, or superficial identities rather than making the right confession: Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

In short: Life and death are in the tongue; the right confession brings salvation, the wrong one brings separation.
